You can probably tell that I really like the characters in this DLC. Awesome mod, I highly recommend playing through it if you're craving DS1 and want a little something extra. Huge thanks to JudgeImpact, or ‪@Impact-sz6ve‬, the creator of the mod. You can find the download on Nexus Mods. This was done in NG+ with the challenge stone that gives bosses new AI and attacks as well as the challenge stone that increases enemy HP and damage. Kalameet... What a fight! I'm not sure if I enjoy this fight more than Knight Artorias, but they're definitely one of my favourites. Age of Sunlight seems to fix that nasty neck issue in which he would scoop you up and shove you into a hitbox, which is delightful. For the most part, he's quite similar to vanilla until you get him to around 55-60%, which is when he'll enter his second phase. Once in this second phase, he gains many follow-ups to most of his moves, making stamina management pretty important. Most of his melee attacks gain iconic his black fire, causing them to deal more damage. Notable follow-ups are a sweeping lingering wall of fire left on the ground after he flies straight up and breathes fire down onto you; A calamity laser-beam after his forward or sweeping cone of fire; and an ever-present AoE nuke that can happen after seemingly any attack. You really gotta watch out for that one, as you'll need some good positioning. I've found that it's easiest to stick under his head while wailing on him, as the AoE seems to center around, well, the center of his model. Other than that, he's got a lot of health and does a lot of damage. Then again, I think I just don't do much damage... Perhaps the Moonlight Greatsword isn't really the best for NG+ cycles. If you're a real one, you'd know that I already previously recorded a Kalameet fight. This video differs mainly in visual and audio quality. I hope it's a noticeable difference. There's also the fact that it's in NG+. When this video is uploaded, I'll unlist that one and shove it in a junk playlist, as it is simply inferior. Or, you could find it right here.
