What is Low Sperm Count/Oligospermia? According to the WHO criteria if the sperm count is less than 15 million/ml that it is called as Oligospermia or Low sperm count. It is divided into three categories -Mild oligospermia -Moderate oligospermia -Severe Oligospermia Severe Oligospermia is when the sperm count is less than 6 million, between 5-10 million it is considered to be moderate oligospermia and between 10-15 million is considered to be mild. It is important to understand that semen analysis and sperm count are dependent on a lot of other factors.
