Muslims, hindus and sikhs were leading a peaceful life. Partition made their lives topsy-turvy. Everything was changed beyond redemption. During riots, Ranipur was surrounded by the violant mob who were after muslims. Sikhs and hindus of Ranipur provided refuge to their muslim fellows in their own houses. They also escorted them to safer camp in Jalandhar. They saved their lives. Muslims of Ranipur boarded a train from Jalandhar and reached Lahore safely.
