Grease and flour 13X9X2-inch pan. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl. Combine sugar, oil and eggs in large bowl. Add dry ingredients. Stir until well blended. Fold apples and nuts into batter (batter will be stiff). Spread in pan. Bake at 350 F for one hour or until the toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Recipe originated from Narva Parker Van Dunk of Gloucester, VA. I hope you all enjoy her apple cake recipe as much as my family and I did! The only thing that I did differently was I added a simple sugar glaze. To make the sugar glaze, all you will need is to mix a little bit of: confectioner sugar, water (or milk), a dash of vanilla extract, and a pinch of cinnamon. Enjoy!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** LINK MENTIONED ** National Council of Negro Women Website: https://ncnw.org/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** CONNECT WITH ME ** Follow me on Instagram (Bookstagram) at @sankofabibliophile Follow me on Goodreads   / sankofabibliophile   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** SUPPORT MY CHANNEL BY BUYING ME A BOOK ** Amazon Wishlist | https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ** MUSIC ** Intro Song: AfroBeat Instrumental by Obeawords Misc.
