In this video with J Cyr of Nutritious Skin, we make a soap together using the screen lift technique, some people refer to this technique as the Kaleidosoap or pour/pull through method. Using a common mold- the quart container commonly used for dairy products, and using soaping tools made and designed to fit these standardized containers (found here: https://www.wildplantanica.com/soap-m...) we make a soap using natural colorants (turmeric, indigo, charcoal) and natural scents (peppermint essential oil). The recipe is a 3# batch and is comprised of 55% olive oil, 25% coconut oil and 20% sustainably sourced palm oil. Water is 28%, lye 7% super fat. I used peppermint essential oil (2oz). This video dives right into design and tips and tricks. It is a video meant for the intermediate and beyond soap maker, so basic safety is not covered. Make sure you are safe when handling lye and follow basic safety practices. Facebook: / nutritious-skin-1025995267495375 https://www.wildplantanica.com/soap-m...
