Why do we use fruit in so many of our beers? We are to curious about flavour for our own good really. Not just the flavour of the fruit but also the flavour and aroma the fruit’s natural yeasts and bacteria create. Here at Wild Beer, we're all about fruit beers! Not every fruit is the same and so why and how we use different fruits varies. -In POGO we use a smoothie like puree of passionfruit and guava then add loads of orange zest. This simple approach to adding the fruit to the beer gives a hit of freshness and sweetness. Pogo is summertime in a can, and who does not like summertime all year round. -In Fruitbooter the beer is spiced and fruited. That combination brings a great complexity to a classic tart raspberry style. It is important that whole fruit raspberries are used as so much flavour and aroma come from the seeds and skin. Drinking Fruitbooter is like drinking the fresh foraged raspberries.
