Don't Fall Victim: Prevent Credit Card Scammers in WooCommerce. No Plugin Needed.

In this comprehensive video I will details how we prevent credit card scams. We do this with WooCommerce Settings and without yet another plugin or API tool. We recently had a client targeted with a Credit Card washing scam. These scammers get a list of credit card numbers and "wash" them through a websites payment gateway. Using WooCommerce and WordPress we take a couple of simple steps to reduce this kind of fraud. 1. Stop guest checkout 2. Force a user to register and use a link to set a password before checkout 3. Make sure an account cannot be created on checkout. This reduces the scammers efforts and generally they leave your site to find a better alternative. I also use Cloudflare enterprise and google captcha using defender to make sure bots can't target the site. Hope that helps you prevent credit card fraud on your site.
