This quality care is recognized with two prestigious recognitions: Accredited with commendation as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (CoC). Shady Grove Adventist Hospital is among only one-third of all cancer programs in the U.S. that hold this distinction. Accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This is considered the industry "gold standard," and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital's Radiation Oncology department in the Aquilino Cancer Center in Rockville and the Shady Grove Adventist Radiation Oncology Center in Germantown are among only 15 percent of centers in the U.S. to hold ACR accreditation.
