We've been focusing on the know something in your spirit part of faith. What I want you to see is that this first part of faith works exactly like walking in love or walking in the spirit. The voice of faith is the same voice as the voice of our conscience. 1 John 1 uses the word fellowship to describe this spiritual connection we have with God that guides us in the ways of God. John discusses how we can cut off the connection of our fellowship with God, cut off our communication with God, cut off the voice of the spirit by pretending that our sins aren't sins and as a result refusing to ask forgiveness for them. This same disconnection of fellowship that keeps us from hearing the voice of our conscience can keep us from hearing the voice of faith.
