Download the latest BMW iDrive update for your car with the link below https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/softwar... You will need a USB thumb drive formatted to fat32 STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS. STEP 1: Locate your VIN number. STEP 2: Find out which iDrive update version you are currently running. STEP 3: Format your USB thumb drive to fat32. STEP 4: Go to BMW.com/update STEP 5: Type in your VIN number to see if there is a update available for your car. STEP 6: Download update .zip file. STEP 7: Place update .zip file on your USB drive. STEP 8: Plug USB thumb drive in the USB port in your car. STEP 9: Go to system update on iDrive and update to the new firmware. STEP 10: Turn off the car entirely and then restart the car.
