Starting at the Northern Quarter, the route winds through some of the oldest parts of the city and the areas that have seen significant regeneration efforts. It is hard to believe that some of the pubs not only still exist but continue to thrive despite the modern developments. Whilst retaining its music and fashion heritage, the route also passes the famous ‘Animal Run’ before heading past one of the largest Chinatown districts in the UK and down into the iconic Gay Village. With a wide variety of pub types, the journey concludes in one of Manchester’s most iconic music venues in the developed Piccadilly area.
