Haryana is region of North India which is called Bahudanyak in Mahabharta and Brahmvarta in Ved. We found mention of Haryana in Pehowa Inscription which was established by Tomara Dynasty of Delhi in 8th century. In Pehowa Inscription, it is written that : Anangpal Singh Tomar is ruler of Haryanaka and his capital is Dhillika. Here Harayanaka means Haryana whereas Dhillika means Delhi. The name Haryana is also found in the works of the 12th-century AD Apabhramsha writer Vibudh Shridhar (1189 – 1230), the first Aggarwal Jain scholar . The name Haryana has been derived from the Sanskrit words Hari (the Hindu god Vishnu) and ayana (home), meaning "the Abode of God". We have tried to made a lenghty video on Modern History of Haryana to clear concepts among students of History with help of Maps. And to clear the point to people how Haryana became part of Punjab in 1858.
