Any pain or discomfort is usually handled with just an over-the-counter pain medication. In general, patients will be back to their regular routine in about 2-3 days, although they will need to refrain from exercise and intercourse for 4-6 weeks. However, this is a small price to pay for something that can really cure a lot of emotional pain and physical suffering.
