Good Boys is the latest hilarious comedy movie featuring kids in the lead - think a cross between The Goonies and Superbad and you're someway to approaching the Stranger Things-esque comedy. James Kleinmann sat down with Director Gene Stupnitsky & writer Lee Eisenberg to talk about their new movie, how their own childhood experiences influenced the events and characters of the film, what producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg brought to the project, and why they think the nostalgia-coms are in fashion right now. The film stars Jacob Tremblay, Keith L. Williams, Brady Noon, Molly Gordon, Will Forte and Midori Francis. It is released in the US and the UK on the 16th of August. Good Boys Synopsis After being invited to his first kissing party, 12-year-old Max (Room’s Jacob Tremblay) is panicking because he doesn’t know how to kiss. Eager for some pointers, Max and his best friends Thor (Brady Noon, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire) and Lucas (Keith L. Williams, Fox’s The Last Man On Earth) decide to use Max’s dad’s drone – which Max is forbidden to touch – to spy (they think) on a teenage couple making out next door. But when things go ridiculously wrong, the drone is destroyed.
