Hey, farrier fans, like with many of my long term customers, we make a day of it, or in the least a couple of hours of the day to talk, catch up while to shoe/trim their horses. Here we got talking about their horse on why it's coat was still wintery. Aside from farrier work, when you're around horses as much as I am on a daily basis, you learn about not just their hoof care, but about many ailments that plague the equine community. The first horse may have, unofficially diagnosed with Cushing's. Defined as follows: Clinical signs include increased coat length and delayed shedding of the winter coat, laminitis, lethargy, increased sweating, weight loss and excessive drinking and urinating.
