Tribute to Joseph Vincent Romero, Jr.

Dedicated to my brother Joe who departed this earth on February 20, 2012. May he be remembered as a great man who was dedicated to his long career in law enforcement and to the many service organizations for which he volunteered in his community. Voted Most Likely to Succeed by his 1973 classmates of Ganesha High School, Joe joined the ranks of the Pomona Police Department at an early age. After volunteering as a Police Explorer, he was hired as a Police Cadet in 1975 and advanced through the ranks to Chief of Police in 2006. After a 33 year-long career, Joe retired and continued his community service with the Pomona Breakfast Optimist Club, Pomona Rotary Club and as Board of Director member with Boys and Girls Club of Pomona. We salute you as you shall be remembered in our hearts and with the many future dedications in your honor by the community. You are our Hero and Friend. I'm proud to be your brother.
