Rohtak SP Removed, SIT To Probe Haryana IPS Officer Puran Kumar Suicide Amid Nationwide Outrage

In the ongoing investigation into Haryana ADGP Y Puran Kumar’s alleged suicide, Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarnia has been removed from his post following family allegations of false framing in a corruption case. A six-member SIT, led by IG Pushpendra Kumar, has arrived at the late officer’s Chandigarh residence to probe the matter. The family, including wife IAS officer Amneet Puran Kumar, has refused post-mortem permission and demanded FIRs and arrests of senior officers named in the suicide note. Leaders across parties, including Haryana Ministers Krishna Bedi and Krishna Lal Panwar, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, and Congress MPs Deepender Hooda and Randeep Surjewala, have called for a fair and thorough investigation.
