The video was entirely shot in autofocus, so if you’re wondering, “How’s the AF?” – You can see by yourself! 😃 Most of the clips were recorded in 4K 50p 200Mbps 16:9, with some in Open Gate. The other part of them were recorded in open gate As you can read in the video, almost all shots were handheld, with only a few taken using a gimbal. The color profile used is V-Log with 5600K white balance. In post-production, I only converted Log to Rec.709 and added slight contrast. No color correction, no grading, and no post-stabilization. My impressions on the camera? I haven’t used it enough for a full review yet, but I can already say: Grip: Excellent! Similar in size to the S5II, but with a slightly bigger grip that feels extremely comfortable in my hand. Viewfinder: Higher resolution than the S5II, and finally, the beloved S1H-style monitor, but improved! Now, besides pan and tilt, you can also move it toward yourself. Stabilization: Even better than before! I thought Panasonic had already maxed out stabilization on their recent Lumix models, but they took it further. I only used the sensor stabilization, without electronic or boost stabilization, and the results are incredible. AF: I think the video speaks for itself! Everything was shot in autofocus, using different modes, and the images are perfect. The AF performs flawlessly across all available options (there are many!) and even keeps focus on the subject despite obstacles (like trees). I’d say you can trust this AF 95% of the time (the remaining 5% depends on how we set it up! 😆). Open Gate mode: Since we need different delivery formats today, having more options is a big plus. Even in standard 16:9, the extra margin is helpful for post-production. Separate photo and video menus: Super convenient! Now we don’t have to navigate through unnecessary settings for videographers and vice versa. Plus, you can choose which parameters stay the same when switching between modes. Tech specs? No need to list them all: 8K, ProRes RAW, etc. You can find all the details on Panasonic’s website! 😉 Huge thanks to Antonella for the backstage support and to my bikers friends for their help :-) Music licensed by ArtList
