A poem for you, kindreds. It speaks to what I've been feeling and what's helping me lately. Sharing in case it resonates~ Loving you wholly, as you are in this moment now. Keep breathing. Keep loving. Big hugs and vibes~ Amy Cake poem by Amy Walker, August 14, 2025 It’s like having a burner on low All the time behind my spine in the one place I can’t reach to scratch to unlatch or to hatch whatever’s been incubating there without my supervision. It simmers and simmers and sometimes boils over with a viscous thickness not unlike pasta water that kinda gets everywhere right when I don’t have the time to clean. I know how to harness steam. But this volume, this constant roiling is a quantity that has exhausted all of my tactics. At first it was raw rage -rampage out with signs, hands in mine standing tall speaking conscience to conscience who has closed its door. More and more it poured forth organizing action chastising overwhelm capitalizing on every finger to point and point and still it simmers, Unreachable. There’s no turning down the fuel. There’s so much cruelty. so much malice my feudal and palace-dwelling ancestors’ timelines come folding in on this thin now, layers and layers of lovers and prayers and unconscionable consciousness Humaning itself to death over and over. This pressure I feel, this weight, is as tangible as cake baking every enfolded moment into one whose time has come. Maybe this is when I let go and trust the recipe? Maybe there’s an alchemy afoot. Maybe once this battered blob is baked I can take a single slice and see every layer for what it is. Not expect, insist, or blame it for its part in the whole. But accept the form as we are and ask anew what’s mine to do with the fuel I wouldn’t want to lessen For the lessons keep coming. I might as well be humming to the whistle of that steam. By whose grace I live and dream. ~ SUBSCRIBE: https://t.ly/AmyYT ~ 21 ACCENTS CHANNEL: https://t.ly/21A-YT CONNECT: www.AmyWalkerOnline.com www.Instagram.com/AmyWalkerOfficial www.Facebook.com/AmyWalkerOfficial ACCENT TRAINING: www.21Accents.com New Videos as the creativity flows ~ usually on Thursdays!
