Inspired by a number of our clients who recommended that I try out the Pass Labs XA25 with our Sibelius loudspeakers, I finally got hold of a review model for my listening room. Here's what I thought of it. Technical details and overview: The output stage consists of a single pair of 800 watt new generation output transistors operating push-pull Class A. The result is faster, lower distortion, lower noise, higher damping and larger Class A operating envelope into low impedance loudspeakers, all in a simple 3 stage circuit with total of three pair of push-pull gain transistors. Class A Type Stereo Gain 20 dB Inputs RCA Power Output /ch (8 ohm) 25W Power Consumption (Watts) 240 (runs at around 40-50 deg. C) Unit Dimension (W x D x H) 43 x 44 x 15 cm Unit Weight 22Kg A link to an interesting white paper on Class types by Nelson Pass: https://www.firstwatt.com/pdf/art_lea...
