New Live Edit Roofing Controls in Autostrek

Here’s a quick sneak peek at some of the new roofing tools we’ve added to Autostrek – live control over roof tiles, adjustable bargeboards, plus flashing and gutters that actually line up with the structure. Up on the roof you can now switch tile styles and tile thickness live. As you change the settings, the tiles update instantly, so it’s easy to see how different profiles and thicknesses will look on the same building. Along the gable ends, the bargeboards are fully editable. You can raise or drop them to cover the tiles properly, and adjust the bargeboard end length so the tips line up cleanly with the roof pitch instead of guessing the cut in SketchUp. At the eaves, there’s now a dedicated Flashing control. When you tick this box, Autostrek adds an L-shaped flashing along the first tile batten. It uses the correct thickness, length and angle so it follows the roof slope and drops down over the fascia – just like you’d build it on site. Turn it off, and it’s gone. Turn it on, and every roof side gets matching flashing automatically. The Gutters option adds realistic gutter hooks along the eaves. Each hook snaps to the rafter ends, spaced with the structure you already have. They’re modeled as proper J-shaped hooks sized for 100-millimeter gutters, so you can actually check clearances and proportions instead of guessing. And inside those hooks, Autostrek generates matching half-round gutters with 2-millimeter walls. They sit correctly in the hooks so you can see exactly how far they stand off the fascia and how the roof, bargeboards and gutters work together.
