(Titan Convoy & Engine Stall!) Preserved Greater Manchester PTE Leyland Titan: ANE 2T

On June 1st 2025, North West Vehicle Restoration Trust hosted their yearly Open Day, featuring both their home fleet, and multiple visiting buses. My third and final recording for this year, Is this fantastic Leyland Titan, Which was new to Greater Manchester Transport / Greater Manchester PTE in April 1978 as their 4002, as part of a small trial batch for the company (Albeit one they never followed up on due to various issues with the titan's production). It was withdrawn in 1986, before being purchased by Wrights of Penycae, where it lasted until around 1991, Then being purchased by Aintree Coachlines here in Liverpool (Which is this titan's local connection to us). Where it lasted until being purchased for preservation by SPS in 2005. It's restoration was completed by 2009 in time for the SELNEC 40 event, Becoming a regular fixture on the rally scene until 2013 or so, when it was stored out of public sight. It returned to use at NWVRT's Nocturnal Running Day last year, and is now on a year loan with them until the next one in November 2025.
