This viewpoint is a must-see for anyone visiting the area, offering some of the best views in Hallstatt Austria. From here, you can see the entire village nestled against the lake, with its historic churches and quaint streets. Next, we visit the Evangelical Church, which stands out with its tall, pointed steeple. It’s one of the most photographed landmarks in Hallstatt. We then take you to the nearby Catholic Church, home to the famous Hallstatt Bone House, where centuries-old traditions of keeping bones in an ossuary are still remembered. As we continue our walk, we stop by the Hallstatt Museum, which showcases the village's rich history, dating back over 7,000 years. Hallstatt is world-famous for its ancient salt mines, which were once a major source of wealth and helped shape the town's long and fascinating history.
