Dinky Toys 156 Rover 75 Diecast Restoration

This is a Code 3 restoration of the classic Dinky Toys No. 156 Rover 75 P4, reimagined as a toughened-up endurance rally car. The idea came to me after watching some brilliant videos on YouTube about long-distance rallies, especially the 2024 Peking to Paris HERO-ERA Rally. That adventurous spirit inspired this build. It hasn’t been easy going—cold UK weather has made garage work slow, and paint curing has been a real challenge. I ended up painting the model twice before I was happy with the finish. This project also took me back to my earlier diecast rally-themed restorations, like the Mercedes Cosworth (Lombard RAC Rally) and Range Rover (East African Safari Rally). I hope you enjoy the video.
