Restoring a Memorial bench that’s 10 years old This bench holds a special value to me and my family and also for the family’s and pupils at Boclair academy. My uncle at the time worked in the wood working department in Boclair academy and at the time was asked to make a bench for those who had sadly passed away. Mark working his magic made this stunning bench out of solid oak at the time in 2015 and was varnished for outdoor purposes. Once ready the bench was set in stone at Milngavie reservoir which is a popular destination for walkers. Myself my dad and my papa are all joiners and at the time my papa helped fit this bench where it would be sat on by many people taking in the views over the hills. Myself walking by this bench many times have seen it deteriorate over the years and said one day I would do my best to give it another lease of life which I think I have achieved for many years to come and many bums to be sat there for years to come.
