Winter City Walk - Barbican Estate to Angel, London

👁️‍🗨️ ABOUT: We kicked off this short (2km) wintery walk at the Barbican Estate, a brutalist architecture style estate with more than 2,000 flats and maisonettes. It's a great place to spend an afternoon getting lost in and we certainly took a few wrong turns while there. From there we headed further north toward Angel station in the borough of Islington. A great walk if you're keen for something short, but with lots to see along the way. 📷 PHOTOS: See photos from this walk on our Instagram account:   / skintadventure   📖 FUN FACT: The estate was built between 1965 and 1976, on a 35-acre (14 ha) site that had been bombed in World War II. It was designed and built for affluent City professionals and famous residents have included John Smith (former leader of the Labour Party), George Best (footballer) and S.W.
