#episode4 :Sailing towards Anatolia (English, Español, Türkçe) Hello Explorers! In this episode, I will set sails towards the Anatolian Peninsula. As you know, in the last episode we were on Marmara Island. This time, we first set sail for Avşa Island, and then continue on toward the Anatolian Peninsula — the mainland. While I was in Avşa, the wind apps was showing around 16–20 knots on average, and with the gusts it reached much higher speeds. Carrying the unnecessary confidence I had accumulated on the way to Avşa — along with the overconfidence that comes with inexperience — I set my sails. Thankfully, since I could roughly imagine the strength of the wind, my mainsail was already reefed. Northern winds were blowing, piling up all the waves and placing them directly along the route I had to sail. In fact, if I had followed the northern coastline of the Sea of Marmara, I wouldn’t have been exposed to so much wave action. Anyway, we’ll deal with these technical matters in the next video. When I first touched the shores of Anatolia, I became very emotional. It felt as if I had crossed an ocean and was discovering new lands. First, I took shelter in a harbor, and from there continued to Değirmencik Bay. To Paradise... The world keeps turning thanks to good people like them.
