Happy New Year, Friends! I'd like to kickstart the new year by cracking open a fine old tin of Murray's Erinmore Mixture tobacco from the 1970s! This blend was originally made by Murray Sons & Co. Ltd. in Northern Ireland but is now made in Denmark by Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Evidently, The recipe for Erinmore Mixture is a closely guarded secret which is revealed to only two people in each generation. It is known, however, that the tobaccos are selected from the premier tobacco growing regions of the world, naturally sweetened bright Virginia is hand blended with cool-smoking black cavendish and burley to produce the unique flavor and distinctive aroma of Erinmore. In addition to the fantastic tobacco, I had the opportunity to try out the latest release from Merchant Service Pipes.... A new Standard pipe in a stunning antique red smooth finish!
