Elisabetta Murgia on becoming a Forest Bathing+ Guide with TFBI

In this interview we talk to Elisabetta, a forest bathing guide trained by TFBI and a current TFBI team member, about her journey to becoming a FB+ guide and self-discovery through connecting with nature. Elisabetta Murgia was born and brought up in Sardinia. At the age of 19 she left this beautiful island to study in Dublin and then moved to London 23 years ago. Her professional background has been in media and event management, while supporting a family art business. Elisabetta changed career after a few years of sparse growth and self-development as she was eager to find a more purposeful profession. Becoming a Forest Bathing+ Guide has brought her essence alive again. Elisabetta grew up in a big town but spent a lot of time in nature at the seaside and in the local woods where she remembers feeling a great joy and contentment. Being a very solitary and shy child, Elisabetta would go around colourful meadows imagining a world of beauty. She would climb big fig trees and watch the sunset, become hypnotised by the sound of the waves by the sea, go foraging in the woods with her parents and help her grandparents with the harvest in the vineyards and olive groves. Elisabetta has always loved animals and felt a strong connection with them. After many years living a city life, Elisabetta discovered a passion for gardening, growing her own vegetables, herbs and flowers while constantly reading and learning about plants. She always chooses plants that provide food for pollinators, so her outdoor space is filled with beautiful insects.
