Places to see in ( Galicia - Spain ) Catedral de Mondonedo The cathedral of Mondoñedo is, along with the cathedral of Ferrol , one of the episcopal offices of the diocese of Mondoñedo-Ferrol , in Galicia ( Spain ). It receives the nickname of the "Cathedral kneeling" by its perfect proportions and little height. Catedral de Mondonedo was declared a National Monument on May 23, 1902. Pope John XXIII , through a bull dated March 9 , 1959 , named it Basilica . Inside is the cathedral and diocesan museum "Santos San Cristóbal", founded in 1969, which has important works of religious art, being one of the most important of its kind in Galicia. In 2015, at Unesco's approval of the expansion of the Camino de Santiago in Spain to " Camino de Santiago de Compostela: French Way and Roads of the North of Spain ", it was included as one of the individual goods (ref. 669bis-015) of the coastal road .
