Goal setting doesn't work & I say don't set goals because you end up focusing too much on the outcome instead of the process, the system, that gets you there. This is more sustainable & effective in the long run. 1:30 - Goal setting suffers from survivorship bias. Think of the example of Apple & Steve Jobs, lauded as a model & example to follow. But what about all the people who failed? Every person & journey is different, and yours is unique to you. Never set goals that imitate the path someone else took. Instead implement systems that work for you. That continually create outcomes. For example, cleaning every week vs having a clean house. 3:00 - Learn to refine your process. The more you build your habits, systems & process, the more effectively you'll master them. Goal setting helps you plan & aim, systems help you to build.
