March 22, 2025. I climbed Mt. Hachibuse in Nagano Prefecture. This was the last day of a three-day consecutive climb, following Mt. Azuma and Mt. Moriya. It was a mountain I had never heard of before, but I was surprised by the magnificent view when I climbed it. In early May, when the road closure to Hachibuse Sanso is lifted, you can drive up to the hut. Even those who are not confident in their physical strength can enjoy the spectacular view from the hut. The parking lot I used this time is the riverbed parking lot near Ushibuseji Sabo Dam. It is free. It can accommodate about 30 cars.
