SPEND THE WEEK WITH US IN SIEM REAP CAMBODIA!!!! MEGA TRAVEL VLOG!! 🇰🇭🤍 We’ve officially left thailand after two amazing months and have now arrived in Siem Reap Cambodia!! This is a spend the week with us vlog, where we take you along as we explore Angkor Wat, floating villages, Khmer food / Cambodian food, meeting hero rats that have saved lives in cambodia, monkey encounters and more!!! 🇰🇭 We crossed the Thailand-Cambodia border on foot, suitcases in hand, and kicked off our adventure with breakfast at Source Cafe… the best blueberry smoothie!! had our first 7-Eleven experience in Cambodia and found a Fanta & Coke slush machine for just $1 each! (This was UNREAL) we tried our first Khmer meal—a delicious amok fish dish from Try Me Restaurant. We also talked about how confusing the currency is (using both Cambodian Riel and USD). Later, we grabbed cocktails on Pub Street, Siem Reap’s nightlife hub! We also discuss story times of how we got woken up at 2am from people banging on our door and also how I accidentally covered Harvey in petrol (story times included…) ✨ Floating Village & Unexpected Adventures We booked a floating village tour through Get Your Guide and visited Kampong Phluk, where we saw traditional stilt houses, village life and the cutest kittens! This was an amazing experience for just £15 including transfers to and from siem reap. 🌅 Angkor Wat Sunrise, Temple Hopping & Exploring Ancient Ruins The next morning, we woke up at 4 AM for an Angkor Wat sunrise tour in a Tuk Tuk. While it was beautiful, we also chat about the reality of visiting famous tourist attractions—crowds, expectations vs. reality, and our best tips for exploring Angkor Wat (ticket prices, best times to go, and getting around by Tuk Tuk). We also explored: Bayon Temple (so many monkeys!) Tomb Raider Temple (yes, the one from the movie!) Other ancient ruins in Angkor Park beyond Angkor Wat (Angkor Wat isn’t the only temple!) Of course we finished the day with a 7-Eleven haul and tried the Fanta slush!!!! 🍊 🐀 Life-Saving Hero Rats & Exploring Siem Reap The next day, we found a cozy cafe, explored Siem Reap at night, and had some amazing Mexican food. We visited the Apopo Centre, where we learned about Cambodia’s Hero Rats—rats trained to detect landmines and help save lives in cambodia - this was truly amazing and we also got to hold a hero rat!! From discovering UK brands in a local shop to chilling at Flower Story Coffee, this week in Siem Reap, Cambodia has been full of surprises, adventures, and unforgettable moments!
