47864 compared to old 36033    • DQ11S - Highest possible damage (old)   i dont think there's any way to get it higher than this.. only the first hit of boomerang skills can crit, so at most this is doing like 48k or maybe 49k with first-hit crit and max damage rolls. this was surprisingly consistent at doing 47k though, i tried several times to get higher rolls and it never reached 48k. only the Golem / Coralossus lines can use Forbearance, and the Glacial Golem is the only monster from these lines that is weak to any of the possible boomerang elements (Fire, Ice, Lightning). this encounter-setup at the Snifflehiem Whaleway Station is also the only Golem/Coralossus encounter with 5 other monsters present (the next best encounter is the Coralossus in the Secret Trial which has 4 other monsters present). to get 5 Lamplings in the Glacial Golem encounter, you need to have Golden Claws equipped so that they will chase you, and try to lure as many as you can into the Golem encounter.
