I am Der Geher and start at the station Lutterothstraße on my way through Stellingen. After an Orthodox church and a mosque, I go to the water tower, which is now used as a residential building. Through an allotment and past the Stellingen ice rink follows Hagenbeck's zoo. The path ends at a part of the University of Hamburg. Although Stellingen was mentioned early (1347), it was little more than a farm. The most important source of income was still the sale of butter and dairy products in the 19th century. This was followed by the tramway in 1875 and the zoo in 1907. In 1927 independence ended and Stellingen became part of Altona, from 1938 part of Hamburg. Another feature of the district is the water tower from 1912, which was decommissioned in 1974 and converted into a residential building.
