The 43rd Winston P. Wilson Sniper Championship and the Armed Forces Skill At Arms Meeting Sniper Match. This is a Sniper competition that tests service members in a variety of Sniper related tasks. These competitors face challenging events from marksmanship matches to simulated missions that may last all night. This training is designed to place the Snipers in situations they may face in combat but not necessarily train for regularly. It presents possibilities, methods, and solutions to help them grow their skill set. It not only gives the competitors useful skills for the battlefield but also skills and information to help them better train service members back at their home unit. Better trained equals improved battlefield survivability! CORRECTION: USMC SGT Tyler Smith (in the video) was the Overall Top Gun (first place individual shooter), The SOI-East team actually placed third in the competition.
