LK17 AKX The driver on this service has apparently no idea of the contents of the Big Red Book and failed to carry out the prescribed procedure at the end of my journey. When I wanted to alight, he deployed the ramp before allowing other passengers to alight, and he allowed new passengers to board before I had alighted. In the Big Red Book (pages 100-101), the procedure for 'Getting the wheelchair user off the bus' is laid out very clearly: the driver must keep the front doors CLOSED while the wheelchair user alights, and must allow other passengers to alight BEFORE deploying the ramp. It is NOT acceptable to ignore the instructions and procedures in the Big Red Book.
