RhPAP supports rural operating room team nurses at Banff Workshop

Physicians who practise in operating rooms in rural Alberta hospitals are regulars at the annual Rural Surgical Skills workshops in Banff. But, it can make the operating room teams they work with that much stronger if their OR nurses are there to learn with them. The Rural Surgical Skills event is organized by the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC). This year, RhPAP contributed $6,250 to the SRPC so that registration costs for rural operating room nurses could be reduced to just $50. About 40 operating room nurses attended the 3 day event. They left the workshop energized by the exceptional learning opportunities and the opportunity to network with other rural operating room nurses.
