Procurement plays a big part in achieving development effectiveness, while the quality of public procurement practices is a major determinant of effective public spending. IED's evaluation of ADB’s Reform of its Procurement Systems takes stock of the progress made since the introduction of the Procurement Policy Framework in 2017. Panelists AED Karen Murray, PPFD Deputy Director Jeff Taylor and CWEN Director Joonho Hwang took the discussion beyond the report and focus on the road ahead both for ADB and for the DMCs. Eungji Kim, Senior Evaluation Specialist, IED presented the key findings of the report, which provided the context to the discussion. DG, IED Manny Jimenez moderate the session.
