We went to Awenda Provincial Park yesterday, July 1st. Since it was Canada Day, the entrance was free! It is about 2 hours drive from Toronto—HWY 400/Barrie- ON 27- Simcoe County Rd 26. You need to have a GPS to easily find your way to the park and back. Bring your own food for the whole day, as Beach #3 has nice sand, clean and clear lake, that’ll make you stay for the whole day! There were 3 other beaches in the area, but this is the best one according to my research, and it did not disappoint! Some parts of the lake was warm, but for the most part it is cold, well we are in Canada! But it was invigorating and refreshing! BBQing is not allowed, at this time. The only thing I cannot stand with is the infestation of caterpillars in the park, that they also invade the beach & every second of my relaxation, lol. So I had to stand most of the time and check if I don’t have it on me, as I have a phobia of them. Spiders are fine with me, but caterpillars? They’re not my friends! I do hope they take care of this beautiful park, and reclaim it from the caterpillars 😁. It looks to be a dense forestry but with very little leaves left because the bugs are happily munching them away! I LOVE this beach so much, and totally recommend it if you don’t mind bugs. The beach is beautiful, the water is CRYSTAL CLEAR and SUUUPER CLEAN! Totally enjoyable and worth driving 2 hours for! Oh, and if you go, don’t forget to fuel up & drop by Freddie’s Dam Good Fries and try the Elk Burger 🍔! 👉🏼Follow Mademoiselle Vanilla👇🏼 📍https://www.instagram.com/mademoisell... 📍http://www.mademoisellevanilla.com/ho... 📍http://travelnidonna.blogspot.com/?m=1
