The national park Shete Boka ('seven coves or bays') is a nature reserve in Bandabou, Curaçao. The park was established in 1994 and covers approximately 200 hectares. The area borders the Christoffelpark National Park and covers more than 10 kilometers of the island's rugged north coast. There are a dozen bays and coves where three species of sea turtles lay their eggs. The area's best-known attraction is Boka Tabla, a cave that is accessible from land on one side and into which the sea pushed up by the northeast trade winds rolls in on the other. In addition to Boka Tabla, there are six bays and inlets in the northwest of the park: Boka Wandomi with the natural bridge of Curaçao, Boka Kortalein, Boka Plate, Boka Mansalina, Boka Djegu and Dos Boka. All of these bays and inlets are protected nesting areas for sea turtles. In the northeast there are two more bays: Boka Kalki and Boka Pistol. Boka Kalki is a partially mangrove overgrown bay while Boka Pistol is a very narrow inlet where the pushed-up sea strikes the shore with pistol-like explosions.
