The sample is placed in the clamp. If using a device with manual clamp, it has to be tightened by use of a friction screw. When working with the pneumatic version, the sample is clamped automatically when the start button is pressed. The sample support releases the sample, which is now pressed against the bending knife of the force sensor. The chart is displayed during the test. When reaching the preset bending angle, the sample rests for the preset dwell time and subsequently returns to its initial position. The automated version automatically releases the sample.
