A large hall in the Samadhi Mandir accommodates hundreds of devotees for prayers and darshan each day. Apart from the Samadhi Mandir, the current temple premises has a Khandoba temple – the shrine of a regional deity worshipped by the saint fakir himself. The Gurrusthan is a spot in the temple premises where a neem tree is worshipped, this is the place where Baba used to Meditate. The mosque where Sai Baba spent most of his life, Dwarkamai is another place that is enshrined in the premises. The temple premises are surrounded by a large garden named the Lendi Vanam, which Sai Baba is believed to have tended. The Chawadi was initially a store but later became Sai Baba's bedchamber on alternative nights. There are a number of small shrines for Shiva, Ganesh, and Shani in the premises. The temple also houses a museum which showcases his personal articles of use. Shiridi Sai Baba Temple History Baba teaching combined elements of Hinduism and Islam: he gave the Hindu name Dwarakamayi to the mosque in which he lived, practiced both Hindu and Muslim rituals, taught using words and figures that drew from both traditions, and took samadhi in Shirdi. Some of his well-known epigrams, Allah Malik (God is King) and Sabka Malik Ek (Everyone's Master is One), are associated with both Hinduism and Islam. Baba's real name remains unknown. The name 'Sai' was given by Mhalsapati when he arrived at Shirdi. The word 'Sai' refers to a religious mendicant but can also mean 'God'.
