Earthquakes are terrifying. First your head is being filled with knowledge and factual information, and then suddenly the earth starts shaking and Pat Robertson is blaming it on gays is The Last of Us. Earthquakes are not just deadly, but they also make life rough for super market stockers, baseball fans and TV weathermen. Just about the only people that like earthquakes are the reporters on CNN. Actually, I take that back. I too love earthquakes. No, not the destructive kind found in SimCity. But rather, the quake disruptor weapon found in Sony's long-running wipEout franchise. Set about 30 years in the future, this racer offers a lot of the weapons you would expect, like missiles and guns. But the quake disruptor is something altogether different. It actually lifts the road below the hovering vehicles. It sends ripples down the course, slowing down everything in front of you. But if the Red Hot Chili Pepper's Californication video taught me anything, it's that we should all be worried about falling buildings. Thankfully the cars are able to absorb the quake's impact, but what about the spectators? Why is nobody afraid of the stadium falling apart? Real people could die. I mean, besides the drivers blowing up from missile attacks. Jesus, what kind of person goes to the races just to see somebody crash? Oh.
