Flight Review: The wind was coming in heavily from the east, so I committed to taking off in that direction. This was the first time the 'zero' had ever taken off from grass, and I was careful with the throttle, letting it build speed naturally. It tracked straight and lifted off cleanly with minimal fuss, which immediately gave me confidence in the setup. I had the sky to myself, which gave me the chance to change my usual flight pattern. Instead of my normal west to south turns, I flew south and then turned west, forcing myself to adapt to a different orientation. This was valuable practice and the aircraft handled it with excellent stability and predictability. The climb performance is outstanding and easily my favorite motor configuration so far. The aircraft feels solid and composed in the air, especially during high speed low passes where it remains smooth and controlled. It feels honest on the controls and never unpredictable. On landing, I came in from the west and carried a little more distance than planned. I held it just beyond flying speed and it settled onto the grass firmly but safely, rolling out without issue. While taxiing back with the tailwind, the wind got underneath the wing and tipped it over. Fortunately, there was no damage, and it confirmed that grass operations with the 'zero' are entirely manageable.
