Those who join this program are the students dedicating their time to serious practice and training. Kancho Peter Chong was one of the Uchideshi of our late founder Sosai Mas Oyama, he brought the learning of an uchideshi to his students, including Shihan Steven Foo - The Father of Kyokushin Philippines. Shihan Steven Foo started Kyokushin in the Philippines during the 90s. Many person tried to be part and finished this Uchideshi program, but not all succeed. Being able to balance working 24/7 (works in a day, and trains in the evening - EVERYDAY) is a big challenge to everyone. The first person who finished this Uchideshi Program and finished 25 Kumite during his grading was Sensei Ramon Gonzales, and now a ONE Championship Fighter and the Head Instructor of the Uchideshies, dedicating himself to give back the learnings he has been through.
