Preserving pears in a unique taste Citrus Flavor that taste fantastic A Super easy fast way to preserve pears. Recipe for Citrus Pear Preserves (I had almost 12 cups of peeled cored pears) 5 Cups of Cut up Peeled Cored Pears 2 Cup Morino's all Natural Sugar 1/2 Cup Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice 1/4 Cup of Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice 1/4 Cup of Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice Preserves need to be water bathed. So select your pot and add you water to start heating up the water bath canner. 1. Peel Core and slice up pears 2 Zest Limes,Lemons and Oranges.*keep Zest separated! 3. Juice Oranges limes and lemons, Store juice separated. 4, For each batch of pears you will need 5 cups of cut up pears, 2 cups of sugar 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice, 1/4 cup each of fresh squeezed lemon and lime juice. 5. Add Pears, sugar , zest and juice to a sauce pan and bring to a boil for 15 minutes. They will become thick and are now ready to jar in mason jars and water bath. 6. Laddle hot Citrus Pears into jars leaving 3/4 inch head space. Head space is the room above the Pear Preserves before the lids and rings are placed on the jars. Water bath for 10 minutes at a rolling boil then remove from heat and let rest 5 minutes. Then you may remove Preserves and place them on a towel and cover with a doubled towel untli they are completely cooled.. 6. Label top of jar with contents and date made.. Always keep a record of what you made and when it was made..with the recipe so when you are ready to make it again you have the recipe handy. Enjoy these are great in fried pies, cobblers or just on your morning toast or pancakes..
