Tech Suite held a virtual event which was aimed at encouraging young Nigerian women to explore the tech industry. This panel explored the accomplishments of women whilst providing insights into their journeys in order to comprehensively understand their paths into the tech scene. “The rapidly evolving tech space presents a unique opportunity for Nigerian women to carve a niche for themselves and become industry leaders.“ The Panel: Tosin Durotoye is the CEO/Principal Consultant of Conselia Advisory, a boutique consulting firm which offers management services for impact-driven tech startups and social enterprises. Additionally, she is working with Microsoft’s 4Afrika Initiative to invest in startups across West Africa. She has also attained ground-breaking achievements over the years, one being the founder of Greenhouse lab - the first female-focused tech accelerator program in Nigeria and the first African accelerator program to be powered by “Google Launchpad”. Tolulope leads the legal and compliance team at Branch, a multinational fintech company. She is a qualified legal practitioner with over a decade of experience, practising in Law firms in Nigeria and The UK as well as advising high profile clients such as Uber, Google, Microsoft and Mastercard. She is focused on the growth of startups and has partnered with accelerators including Itanna and Greenhouse Lab. Oluchi Enebeli is Nigeria’s 1st female Blockchain Engineer working at Bundle Africa. She is also The Co-founder/CTO of Crevatal, a blockchain user experience design and development company. In addition, she is also the founder of LadiesDoTech, an initiative aimed at fostering a community of passionate and self-confident ladies in the African tech and blockchain space. Seun Runsewe is currently building Biamo money, a digital bank bringing knowledge and tools to the hands of Nigerian women. She was previously the Vice President of Growth at Softcom where she led Eyowo, their digital bank. She has had various experiences in the tech industry, previously being the business lead at Paystack and the Director of Product at OPay. One of her most notable achievements has been founding Switch by Sterling Bank,a multi-currency digital bank, leading her to become the youngest banking CEO in Africa at the time.
