The Marine Protected Area Collaborative Network is partnering with Just Communities Central Coast to create a series of workshops aimed at understanding how justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion impact coastal conservation in California. This is a recording of the Common Language Webinar given by Gabrielle Felder of Just Communities on January 19, 2022. This is the first event in a multi-part series for collaborative members and partners. Please note that the initial series introduction and some of Gabrielle's introduction were not captured in the recording. Common Language Webinar description: Develop an understanding of key terms relating to identity across race, gender, and sexual orientation. Foster a common language to be employed when discussing diverse populations and a deeper understanding of how colonialism and racism impact science and conservation.
