Subscribe on YouTube:    / @newstatesman   The former First Minister has reviewed Johnson's memoir for the New Statesman, and doesn’t hold back in her assessment of either the book or the man. "[Boris Johnson] does have a tendency to describe women physically, and sometimes that's complimentary, other times it's not. The paragraph about Theresa May's nostrils is creepy, frankly, and weird.” Addressing Johnson’s characterisation of herself in the book, Sturgeon adds “there's a certain sort of acerbic kind of venom that he applies to me that he doesn't apply to other people. And I think that is misogyny to be blunt.” She describes the section discussing the case of Nazanin Zaghari-Radcliffe as “the low point of the book… the chapter I found hardest to read,” describing the former Prime Minister’s attempt to deflect blame as “almost gut-wrenching because it was just so craven”.
